<p><span style="font-size:16px">The admissions process at Government Graduate college Mailsi is highly competitive, with a rigorous selection criteria to ensure that we admit the most qualified students. Applicants are required to submit an online application and provide supporting documents, such as transcripts, test scores, and required degrees</span></p> <h2><span style="font-size:16px">Semester Rules and Regulations</span></h2> <p><span style="font-size:16px">For the smooth running of semester system, the college will arrange an orientation program for newly admitted students one day prior to the start of regular classes. Respective Head of Departments (HODs) and Departmental Coordinators will deal course related issues of students while exam related information and issues are the domain of Controller of Examinations.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:16px">The College is affiliated with Bahaudin Zikariya University. The Semester Rules and Regulations for Adp and BS (Hons.) Program will be obeyed according to the rules and regulations present on the BZU website. Some key rules and regulations are given in the following for the knowledge of the students:</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:16px">The total duration of a Associate Degree Program is 2 year and Bachelor’s (BS) Program is four years. Each academic year is consisted of two semesters. In case of valid reasons, the period of study may be extended for two additional years (i.e., four semesters). The students who do not complete studies within the stated period will have their names struck off from the rolls of the college. The students who have been given the right to extend the duration of study for additional two years must register and pay tuition fee for these years.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:16px">There will be two semesters in an academic year: Fall Semester and Spring Semester. Each semester will be of 17 working weeks - 16 weeks for teaching and one week for Mid Semester Examinations. Final Examinations will be conducted by University BZU at the end of each semester. Schedule (Date Sheet) of final examinations will be issued by Controller of Examinations, BZU</span></p> <h2><span style="font-size:16px">Credits Requirements for a Degree Program</span></h2> <p><span style="font-size:16px">The students must know about the credit requirements for a Degree program explained below:</span></p> <ul> <li><span style="font-size:16px">A minimum 124 - 136 credit hours are required for the 4-Years degree programs and the said credits will normally be earned in eight semesters</span></li> <li><span style="font-size:16px">The minimum number of credit hours in a course will be governed by the curriculum/syllabi and roadmap provided by BZU</span></li> <li><span style="font-size:16px">A course may range from one credit hour to four credit hours</span></li> <li><span style="font-size:16px">One (01) credit hour stands for at least one-hour class contact per week per semester. For practical/laboratory work, 03 hours will be considered equivalent to one credit hour</span></li> <li><span style="font-size:16px">Six (06) credit hours’ research project (dissertation)/project report/internship/special paper will be offered in the Fourth Year</span></li> </ul> <p><span style="font-size:16px">The aforementioned clauses are dictated by the HEC curricula for the relevant degree programs</span></p> <h2><span style="font-size:16px">Class Attendance</span></h2> <p><span style="font-size:16px">The rules regarding class attendance are stated below:</span></p> <ul> <li><span style="font-size:16px">A student must have attended at least 75% of the classes held in a course in order to be allowed to sit in the final examination</span></li> <li><span style="font-size:16px">In case the student remains absent from the class for seven consecutive days without leave, his/her name will be removed from the rolls</span></li> <li><span style="font-size:16px">Students having less than 75% class attendance in a particular course will be required to repeat the course in the same semester next year. Names of such students will be reported by the college to University of the Punjab and these students shall not be allowed to appear in the final examinations</span></li> </ul> <h2><span style="font-size:16px">Course Evaluation, Course Grade, and Grade Distribution</span></h2> <p><span style="font-size:16px">Students will be evaluated on the basis of two examinations, called Mid Semester Examination and Final Examination.
